Given, angle ∠ABC is 90o. So, triangle ABC is right-angled.
Using the Pythagorean theorem to find AB, we have:

AB2+BC2=AC2

Substituting AC = 97 m and BC = 72 m in the equation,


AB2+722=972

AB2=972722

AB2=94095184

AB2=4225
