Let the roots be α,β,γ
α+γ=2β .....( 1 ) [Given]
α+β+γ=a .....( 2 )
αβ+αγ+βγ=b .....( 3 )
αβγ=a .....( 4 )

From eq (1) and (2):
3β=a
β=a3 .....( 5 )

From eq (4) and (5):
αγ=3 .....( 6 )

From eq (3), (5) and (6):
(α+γ).(a3)+3=b
2.(a3).(a3)+3=b [From eq (1)]
2a2+27=9b
