circumference of the circle produced by short hand$=2\pi r=2\times 3.14\times 4=25.12$cm

circumference of the circle produced by long hand$=2\pi R=2\times 3.14\times 6=37.68$cm

In $24hrs$ short hand completes $2$ rotations and long hand completes $24$ rotations

$\therefore$ the sum$=2\left(25.12\right)+24\left(37.68\right)=954.56$cm
