Solution

The correct option is B 2 : 1
By Ampere's law, the magnetic field at a distance d from the long wire is B=μ0I2πd
When the current in same direction, the net magnetic field between the wires is
B=μ0I2πd(I2I1)=10μT
When small current I1 (say) direction is reversed, the net magnetic field between the wires will be
B=μ0I2πd(I2+I1)=30μT
So, I2I1I1+I2=1030
or 3I23I1=I1+I2
or 2I2=4I1
or I2/I1=2/1
