Question

The magnitude of the ball's velocity just before it hits the ground is 166×10xms1. Find the value of x.

Open in App
Solution

At height h=9.1m, the magnitude of velocity, v2=7.62+6.12=94.97 and this is the intial velocity when the ball fall down.
Using the formula:
v2u2=2aSv2(94.97)=2(10)(9.1)
v=16.6 m/s
x=1
