Compressed natural gas or CNG is a mixture of hydrocarbons mainly composed of methane that is stored under high pressure to transport it. Hence option b is correct.

When natural gas is compressed to less than 1% of its volume at standard atmospheric pressure, it is then called compressed natural gas or CNG.

CNG is a better alternative as fuel, compared to petrol as it is cheaper, burns more efficiently and cannot be adulterated.

CNG contains traces of ethane but does not contain lead or sulphur. Hence option a, c and d are incorrect.
