Human neural system :

Human nervous system is broadly divided into two parts-
  • Central nervous system:
  • Peripheral nervous system

Central nervous system:

Central nervous system consists of the brain and spinal cord.

Peripheral nervous system :

Peripheral nervous system is divided into a somatic nervous system and autonomic nervous system. The somatic neural system relays impulses from the CNS to skeletal muscles

Autonomic nervous system :

The autonomic neural system transmits impulses from the CNS to the involuntary organs and smooth muscles of the body. Autonomic nervous system is divided into a sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system.

Brain:

Brain is divided into the forebrain, midbrain and hindbrain.
