Solution

Let the cost price be Rs. x
It's marked price is 20% more than x ie 8000.
Therefore,x+20100×x =8000
x(1+0.2)=8000
x=80001.2
=Rs. 6666.67

It's selling price is 7% less than marked price, therefore
S.P = 8000-7×8000100
=8000560=Rs. 7440

Profit = SP - CP =74406666.67
=Rs. 773.33

Profit % =(SP-CP)×100÷ CP
=(773.33×100)÷6666.67
=11.59%
