After the first discount of 10% on ₹1600,

Discount =10% of ₹ 1600

=10100×1600= 160

Price of watch after 1st discount = ₹1600 - ₹160 = ₹1440

As the customer pays ₹1224 after the second discount, the second discount amounts to:

₹1440 - ₹1224 = ₹216

So the second discount percent is,

2161440×100=15%.
