Given,
m=0.5 kg; ρ=8000 kg/m3; n=100 Hz

Hysteresis loss per second, E=240×103 J/s

Area of hysteresis loop gives the loss of energy per unit volume of material in one cycle of magnetization and demagnetization.

So, total loss per unit time is,

E= Area × volume× Frequency

Substituting the values, we get,

240×103=Area×0.58000×100

Area=38.4 J/m3

Hence, option (C) is the correct answer.
