Solution

Mass α length

mαl

m=kl

'k' is constant

Mass of 40 cm long bar is 420 grams

420=k×40

k=42040

k=212

m=212l.

Now we have to find a mass of 136 cm long bar

m=212×136

m=21×68

m=1428

The mass of bar is 1428 grams.
