Question

The mass of an empty botttle is 30g, it is 75g when filled completely with water and 65g when filled completely with liquid. Find i.volume of density bottle ii. density of liquid. iii. relative density

Open in App
Solution

the mass of the density bottle=30g

the mass of water+density bottle=75g

the mass of water=75g-30g=45g

RELATIVE DENSITY OF WATER=1=45g/density of water [the density of water]

density of water=45cm3

so,the volume of the density bottle=45cm3[because it was completely filled with water]

the mass of the liquid x+density bottle=65g

the mass of liquid x=65g-30g=35g

the density of liquid x=35g/45cm3=0.77g/cm3
