Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,

Ans. Proximal convoluted tubule (PCT)

The proximal convoluted tubule is the longest and widest part of the nephron and carries filtrate from the renal capsule to the loop of henle. Over 80% of the glomerular filtrate is reabsorbed here, including all the glucose, amino acids, vitamins, hormones and about 80% of the sodium chloride and water.
