The correct option is B hc3λ

From Einstein's photoelectric equation,
K.Emax=hcλϕ

For case 1:
1 eV=hcλϕ ...(1)

For case 2:
4 eV=hc(λ3)ϕ ...(2)

Using (1) and (2),

41=(3hcλϕ)(hcλϕ)

4hcλ4ϕ=3hcλϕ

3ϕ=hcλ

ϕ=hc3λ

Hence, option (B) is correct.
