The maximum quantity of milk the given container can hold is the volume of the container.

Volume of the container = Volume of 2 rectangular prisms

Volume of rectangular prism A = length×width×height
=3×1×5
=15 cu in

Similarly,
Volume of rectangular prism B = length×width×height

Total volume = Volume of A + Volume of B
= 15 + 8
