Solution

Finding mean of the given data

Given data, 43,44,42,41,36,43,42,40

Since, Mean=SumofallobservationsTotalNumberofObservations.....(i)

Now, total number of observation =8 [ From the given data]

sum of all observation =43+44+42+41+36+43+42+40=331

So, Mean =3318=41.375 [Using equation (i)]

Hence, mean of the given data is 41.375.
