Solution

The correct option is A vital capacity
Vital Capacity (VC) is the maximum volume of air a person can breathe in after a forced expiration.

Total Lung Capacity (TLC) is the total volume of air accommodated in the lungs at the end of a forced inspiration.
This includes Residual Volume (RV), Expiratory Reserve Volume (ERV), Tidal Volume (TV) and Inspiratory Reserve Volume (IRV).

Residual volume (RV) is the volume of air remaining in the lungs after maximum forceful expiration. In other words, it is the volume of air that cannot be expelled, thus causing the alveoli to remain open at all times. Values for residual volume are 1 to 1.2 L.

Functional Residual Capacity (FRC) is the volume of air that will remain in the lungs after a normal expiration.
