Mean =11+a+b5=4
a+b=9 (1)

Variance =(xi)2n(¯¯¯x)2
5.2=9+16+16+a2+b25(4)2
21.2×5=41+a2+b2
a2+b2=65

From equation (1), we have
a2+b2+2ab=81
2ab=16
ab=8
a=8b (3)

Substitute value of a from equation (3) to equation (1)

8b+b=9
b29b+8=0
b=8,1
a=1,18

Absolute value of difference is
