Let no of workers in first group = n
then no of workers in second group = 10n
(X1+X2+........+Xnn)=¯X
and(Y1+Y2+........+Y10n10n)=¯Y
combined group mean
=((X1+X2+.....+Xn)+(Y1+Y2+.....+Y10n)11n)
=(n¯X+10n¯Y11n)=(¯X+10¯Y11)
