The mean monthly salary of 10 members of a group is ?1445, one more member whose salary is ?1500 has joined the group. Find the mean monthly salary of 11 members of the group.

Let T be the sum of the salaries of the 10 people. Then:
1445 = T/10
=> T = 14450
After the other member got added,
T = 14450 + 1500 = 15950
The mean of the 11 people = T/11
= 15950/11 = 1450
Therefore, the mean of the 11 members is Rs.1450.
