The mean of 16 number is 8. If 2 is added to each number then what will be the new mean

Given, there are 16 numbers
Mean = 8.
Let
their sum be x.
So mean = x/16 =8.

If two is added to each number then the sum increases by 16*2 = 32.

So
, for finding the new mean we'll divide it by 16
∴ Mean = (x+32)/16 ⇒ (x/16) + (32/16) = 8+2 =10.

So, the required new mean is 10.
