$M e a n = \frac{N u m b e r o f o b s e r v a t i o n s}{T o t a l o b s e r v a t i o n s}$

$21 = \frac{18 + 24 + 15 + 2 x + 1 + 12}{5}$

$105 = 70 + 2 x$

$2 x = 35$

$x = 17.5$
