Given that mean of 27 observations are 18.

Therefore,
18=sum of the 27 observations27

sum of the 27 observations=27×18
=486(i)

Given that three more observations 16,18,50 are added.

Therefore,
mean=sum of the 27 observations+16+18+5030

mean=sum of the 27 observations+8430

mean=486+8430 (from (i))

mean=57030

mean=19
