5i=1xi=5×5=25
Given, σ2=12.4
5i=1x2i5(5)2=12.4
5i=1x2i=187
Three observations are 1,2 and 6.
x4+x5=16
and x24+x25=146
Solving the two equations, we get
x4=5,x5=11 or x4=11,x5=5
Mean deviation from the mean =|15|+|25|+|65|+|55|+|115|5
=145=2.8
