Mean weight of 24 students = 48 kg.

Total weight of 24 students = (48 × 24) kg = 1152 kg.

Mean weight of 24 students and the teacher (48 + 0.5) kg = 48.5 kg.

Total weight of 24 students and the teacher = (48.5 × 25) kg = 1212.5 kg.

Weight of the teacher = (1212.5 - 1152) kg = 60.5 kg.

Hence, the weight of the teacher is 60.5 kg.
