Mean weight of 5 girls = 54 kg.

Total weight of 5 girls = (54 × 5) kg = 270 kg.

Total weight of 4 girls = (54 + 62 + 58 + 56) kg

= 230 kg.

Weight of the 5th girl = (total weight of 5 girls) - (total weight of 4 girls)

= (270 - 230) kg

= 40 kg.

Hence, the weight of the fifth girl is 40 kg.
