Step 1: Given

Length = 6x+9

Breadth = 2(x+3) = x+8

Step 2: Formula used

Area of rectangle = length×breadth

Step 3: Finding the value of x
Clearly, the figure is a rectangle as its interior angles are equal to 90 and opposite sides are parallel and equal in length.
2(x+3)=x+8
2x+6=x+8x=2 cm

Step 4: Finding the area

Area of the rectangle = (x+8)(6x+9)
=(2+8)(6×2+9)
=10×21=210 cm2
Therefore, the area of the figure is 210 cm2.
