Given data is $6, 8, 9, 15, x, 29, 25, 21, 22$
The ascending order of data excluding $x$ is $6, 8, 9, 15, 21, 22, 25, 29$
For median to be $18$ ,the middle element should be $18$ (as the data is odd)
So the only possibility is $x = 18$
