The metal which does not react with cold as well as hot water but, reacts with steam is
iron
Different metals react differently with water. Sodium and potassium react vigorously with cold water to form sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide. Magnesium reacts with hot water to give magnesium hydroxide. Iron does not react with cold water as well as hot water but with steam, the red-hot iron reacts to give its respective oxide and hydrogen gas. The reaction for the same is given below:
3Fe(s)+4H2O(g)→Fe3O4(s)+4H2(g)
