Solution

The correct option is D 0.0207
Given,

(δr)m=38.4 ; (δy)m=38.7 ; (δv)m=39.2

As we know, the minimum deviation suffered is,

δm=(μ1)A .....(1)

Dispersive power is given by,

ω=μvμrμy1=(μv1)(μr1)(μy1) .....(2)

Using (1) we can rewrite (2) as follows,

ω=(δv)mA(δr)mA(δy)mA=(δv)m(δr)m(δy)m

ω=39.238.438.70.0207

So, the dispersive power of the medium is 0.0207

Why this question ?

Concept : If the angle of minimum deviation for red, violet and yellow light are given, then the dispersive power can be calculated using the formula-

ω=(δv)m(δr)m(δy)m
