With reference to modern dictatorship explain authoritarianism and ruthless one party rule:

i)Authoritarianism: Authoritarianism is a form of government with a strong centralised power.Individual freedom in such cases become subordinate to the state. Constitutional accountability reduces to nill under an authoritarian regime.

ii)Ruthless one-party rule: one-party state is a form of government where the country is ruled by a single political party.

iii)Imperialism : Imperialism is ideology of extending the rule of a country over other countries and peoples, often by military force or by gaining political and economic control. The concept of imperialism arose in the modern age, associated chiefly with the European colonial powers of the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries and New Imperialism.
