Note: modulus of subgrade reaction K may be defined as the pressure sustained per unit deformation of the subgrade at specified deformation or pressure level, using specified plate size. The standard plate size for finding K- value is 75 cm dia. But in some tests a smaller plate of 30 cm dia. is also used.
