Mole fraction of C2H5OH=moles of C2H5OHmoles of C2H5OH+moles of H2O=0.05=5100
100 moles of solution contain 5 moles of C2H5OH.
Weight of C2H5OH=moles×mol. wt.
=5 g×46 g mol1=230 g.
Weight of H2O=95×18=1710 g
Molality =51710×1000=2.92 m.
Weight of solution=230+1710=1940 g
Volume of solution=19400.997cc=1945.8 mL=1.9458 L
Molarity=51.9458=2.57 M
