Question

The molecules of solid have a high intermolecular force of attraction, even then the molecules don't diffuse into one another. Why?

Solution

Diffusion does not happen at all in solids because their molecules are tightly packed together giving it a fixed shape. There is no room between the molecules for moving place to place. They can only vibrate on the spot. For this reason molecules in solid can not diffuse one into another.
