If A can tolerate a tension of 30 N in its tail, what force maximum should it apply on the rope in order to carry the monkey B with it? Take g=10 m/s−2.

Solution

The correct option is A 105N
Given, Mass,M1=5kg,m2=2kg,F=30N

So, TFg305a=0......1

302g2a=0.........2

Multiply by 2 in inequation 1 and equation by 5 and solving them then we get,

T=105N and a=5m/s2

Thus the maximum force applied by the monkey A to carry monkey B is 105N
