The monthly salary of a person is 15,000 and his monthly expenditure is 12,000. Find the ratio of salary to expenditure.

Step 1: Find the ratio:

Given, monthly salary of the person = 15,000

monthly expenditure of the person = 12,000

Ratio between salary to expenditure = 1500012000

Step 2: Convert into simplest form

Divide numerator and denominator by the Highest Common Factor 3000.

Ratio between salary to expenditure = 15000÷300012000÷3000=54=5:4

Hence, the ratio of salary to expenditure is 5:4.
