Question

The more doped region in the transistor is ...........................

Open in App
Solution

In a transistor, the emitter emits a large number of charge carriers, a few of which (about 5 %) recombine in the base and the rest are collected by the collector. Hence the emitter is very heavily doped, the base is very lightly doped and the doping concentration in the collector is less than the emitter.
