The nature of reactant is independent of the rate of reaction.
False
The nature of the reactant influences the rate of the reaction. For e.g. magnesium ribbon reacts with both hydrochloric acid and acetic acid. But the reaction is faster in hydrochloric acid than in acetic acid. This happens because hydrochloric acid is more reactive than acetic acid.
