The correct option is D anti-clockwise
When the north pole moves towards the vertical plane, the magnetic flux increases. By Lenz's Law , the induced current will be such that it opposes this change, i.e., it opposes the approaching north pole. Therefore, a current loop in the anti clockwise direction will flow when seen from the north pole, such that the field induced by this anti clockwise current is in opposite direction to the field by the north pole and hence opposes it.
