Solution

The correct option is D two membranes with pores through which substances can pass through
The nucleus is a double membraned organelle containing the genetic material in a eukaryotic cell. It is the largest cell organelle. A nucleus when observed in a non-dividing phase shows the nuclear membrane, chromatin, nucleoplasm and the nucleolus. The nuclear membrane is bilayered with an outer and inner membrane. They are collectively called the ‘nuclear envelope’. The nuclear envelope contains several complex pores that control the passage of substances to inside or outside of the nucleus.
