Arithmetic mean
$= \frac{S u m o f o b s e r v a t i o n s}{N u m b e r o f o b s e r v a t i o n s}$
$= \frac{S u m o f n o . o f b o o k s}{N u m b e r o f d a y s}$
$= \frac{300 + 405 + 455 + 489 + 375 + 280 + 418 + 502 + 300 + 476}{10}$
$= \frac{4000}{10} = 400$
Thus, average books issued daily = 400 books.
