Solution
The correct option is C6 In females, oogenesis starts at embryonic age and forms millions of oogonia. These cells start dividing and temporarily arrested at prophase-1 called primary oocyte. These oocyte acquires granulosa cells and forms primary follicles which degenerate from birth to puberty. Further, they form secondary and tertiary follicles. Tertiary follicles grow in size and get mature into Graafian follicle which contains secondary oocyte or ovum. In the middle of every cycle, one of the ovaries produce an ovum. So 6 ova are produced by each ovary in a year.
