Solution

The correct option is B 3.011×1023

Cl atom =35.5g per mole

hence, Cl2 = 71g per mole

but as its given how many molecules in 35.5g of Cl2 ?

35.5g of Cl2 = 0.5 mole

every mole of chlorine contains Avogadro's number =6.022×1023

therefore no. of molecules in 0.5 mole of chlorine = 6.022×1023×0.5

= 3.011×1023
