Solution

The correct option is A 35
The number of moles of KMnO4 that will be needed to react completely with one mole of ferrous oxalate in acidic solution is 35.
Potassium permangante is a very strong oxidizing agent. It oxidizes iron(II) ion as well as the oxalate ion.
Oxalate oxidation: 2MnO4+16H++5C2O242Mn2++8H2O+10CO2
Iron(II) oxidation: MnO4+8H++5Fe2+Mn2++4H2O+5Fe3+
Hence, moles of KMnO4 that will be needed to react completely with one mole of ferrour oxalate Fe(C2O4) is 35 (2 moles for oxalate and 1 mole for iron (II)).
