Question

The number of P-O bonds and lone pairs present in P4O6 molecule is/are:
[If ans is 11 and 22, represent as 1122]

Open in App
Solution

Phosphorus trioxide molecule (P4O6) contains 12 P-O bonds because each P is attached to 3 Oxygen atoms, therefore 4×3=12
Each P atom has one lone pair and each O atom has 2 lone pairs, so total 1×4+2×6=16.
Hence, the answer is 1216.
