Find the number of solution for the given equation

Given:x+1-x-1=4x-1

On squaring root on both sides, we get

x+1-x-12=4x-12x+1+(x-1)-2(x+1)(x-1)=4x-12x-2x2-1=4x-1-2x2-1=2x-14x2-1=2x-124x2-4=4x2+1-4x4x=5x=54

Substituting x=54 in given equation we get,

54+1-54-1=4×54-194-14=5-132-12=212

x=54 not possible as it does not satisfy the given equation.

Therefor, no solution will exist for the given equation.

Hence, option (B) is the correct answer.
