Solution

The correct option is C 1
Given cosθ×cos(πθ)=1

We know cosθ cannot be greater than 1.

So there are only two possible cases.

Case: 1

When

cosθ=1andcos(πθ)=1

θ=2nπ and πθ=2nπ

θ=2nπ and θ=2n

The common solution is θ=0

Case:2

When

cosθ=1andcos(πθ)=1

θ=(2n+1)π and πθ=(2n+1)π

θ=(2n+1)π and θ=(2n+1)

There is no common solution for case:2

So only one solution is possible for the given equation which is θ=0
