Solution

The correct option is C more on lower surface
The dorsiventral leaf has two surfaces different from each other. The upper surface is called the adaxial surface and the lower surface is called the abaxial surface. The lower ventral surface has more number of stomata when compared to the upper dorsal surface. Dorsiventral leaf is seen in dicot plants.

Transpiration is the loss of water due to evaporation from the surface of the leaf. Transpiration occurs through the stomatal pore and the rate of transpiration increases with the increase in temperature. The upper surface of the leaf is more exposed to sunlight, thus the rate of transpiration is high. In order to reduce the loss of water due to transpiration the dorsiventral leaf has more stomata in the lower surface than the upper surface.
