Solution

For making a pie chart, we need to find the central angle for the number of students speaking different languages.
Central angle for the number of students speaking Hindi = (4072) × 360° = 200°.
Central angle for the number of students speaking English = (1272) × 360° = 60°.
Central angle for the number of students speaking Hindi = (972) × 360° = 45°.
Central angle for the number of students speaking Hindi = (772) × 360° = 35°.
Central angle for the number of students speaking Hindi = (472) × 360° = 20°.
So, the table will be filled as:
Language Hindi English Marathi Tamil Bengali Total
Number of students 40 12 9 7 4 72
Central angle 200° 60° 45° 35° 20° 360°

Now, let’s draw the pie chart for the above data.
We will start with drawing a circle of any radius.
Then, we will draw different sectors based on the central angle.
