Given, tan1(1+x)+tan1(1x)=π2
tan1(1x2)=π2

[tan1x+tan1y=tan1[x+y1xy]]

cot1(x2)=π2
Taking cot on both the sides, we get
x2=0
x=0
Hence there is only one real solution for the above equation.
